Hume’s Tax Service prepares personal and business tax returns and provides payroll and bookkeeping services from its office at 305 E. 7th St., Lawrence, KS 66044. The firm was founded in 1994.
How do I make an appointment?
Book your appointment online through Bookedin, where you can choose a preparer and time. If you have questions or trouble booking, call the office.
What should I bring to my tax appointment?
Bring a photo ID, last year’s tax return, and any tax documents you’ve received, such as W-2s and 1099s. Also bring records of other income and expenses that may apply to your return.
What are your hours?
During tax season the office is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed Sunday. Earlier or later appointments may be available with select tax preparers. In the off-season, hours are limited weekdays by appointment only.
Do you prepare business returns?
Yes. Hume’s prepares tax returns for sole proprietors, partnerships, LLCs, and corporations, and offers payroll and bookkeeping to keep business records up to date through the year.
Can you look at a return I already filed?
Yes. Hume’s can review prior-year returns for corrections or overlooked deductions and credits.
